Octavia Butler’s classic novel The Parable of the Sower is the 2025 community read for Banned Books Week. Stop by the Mount Vernon Library on Thursday, September 4th from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. to pick up a complimentary copy of the novel, learn more about the Library’s Banned Books Week programming, and find out how you can help protect the freedom to read.
The book giveaway will continue at the Mount Vernon Library while supplies last!
