Born on December 6th, 1962, in Delaware, Ohio, Chris was the cherished son of Homer and Rosalind (Richardson) Kennedy.

He grew up in Powell, Ohio, and graduated from Olentangy High School in 1982. Chris was a devoted father to three sons and a proud grandfather to five grandchildren. His greatest joy in life came from supporting and spending time with his family. Whether coaching peewee sports, talking about games, or cheering from the sidelines, Chris was deeply passionate about his sons’ and grandchildren’s many pursuits and took pride in every moment.

A gifted cook, Chris expressed his love through food, delighting friends and neighbors with his meals. Throughout his life, he shared this gift with many – whether working at Iacono’s, the Intown Restaurant, or serving at local events from food trucks. Most recently, he found joy and camaraderie within the Centerburg community working at Pizzaburg, where he built lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.

Chris was known for his warmth and openness. He carried no judgments and was always ready to lend a listening ear. On quiet evenings, he found comfort in the company of his youngest son, Logan, with whom he shared a home in Centerburg. A lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State Buckeyes, Chris could spend hours talking sports with his sons.

In his later years, he treasured family gatherings, hosting cookouts, and celebrating the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. During the holidays, Chris especially loved receiving photos of his grandchildren; proudly displaying each one throughout his apartment.

Chris is survived by his sons, Ryan (daughter-in-law Dodie), Joshua (daughter-in-law Cassie) and Logan Kennedy; and his grandchildren, Brayden Hinkle, Isabelle Kennedy, Nicholas Stimpert, Caleb Kennedy and Olivia Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Homer and Rosalind “Rose” Kennedy.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Monday, September 22nd, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park, 21 Johnsville Rd, Centerburg, OH 43011. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that friends share pictures and stories of Chris to honor his memory and the joy he brought to others.
