MOUNT VERNON — On Saturday night, the Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival was a countywide party with everything from the smell of fair food to country music echoing through the streets.

Craig Morgan drew a sea of lawn chairs, jeans, and boots, singing some of his most iconic songs as he headlined the festival’s final evening show.

Optimus Prime, the leader of the Transformers, towered over Main Street at Kids Fest, posing for pictures along the way.

The Living Center hosted a flower show a few blocks north of the square, featuring a wide array of flower arrangements for locals to vote on their favorite.

A SpongeBob-themed chalk competition took place around the corner from the main stage, with Olivia Slone taking first, Alex Diehl second, and Liz Diehl third.
