MOUNT VERNON — When is the last time you can remember reading a story under a tree or beside a flower bed?
The public is invited to join the Once Upon a Park program on Thursday, July 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Arch Park Community Garden for stories, food and activities.
Arch Park is located on Arch Avenue in Mount Vernon. The program aims to celebrate the bounty of summer in the garden.
Arch Park Community Garden features a children’s play area, picnic area with ever-bearing strawberries, a dig area, picnic tables and moveable climbing and sitting stumps.
The Back-to-Nature series at Arch Park is sponsored by Knox Public Health, the Green Teen program and the Parent Support Initiative.
Snacks and drinks will be available.
