MOUNT VERNON — A woman’s body has been identified in the case of a suspicious death discovered on July 12 by Knox County authorities.

Mary Worboy, no age released, has been positively identified by the Knox County Coroner’s office as the individual found at 4:07 p.m. under suspicious circumstances at 22540 Bell Church Road.

Shortly after their arrival at the address listed above, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office secured the location and called in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation to process the scene.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office the positive identification was obtained through the analysis of forensic dental records. Detectives continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding this matter. 

Information has been sparse on the case to this point. The Sheriff’s Office said no additional details are being released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation. Updates will be provided as they become available.
