Ruth A. Stricklin, age 91, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Danbury of Mount Vernon.
She was born on October 12, 1933, in Mount Vernon to Dwight C. and Mary P. (Shultz) Franz.
After graduating from Mount Vernon High School, Ruth worked for Continental Can and eventually became the secretary for the Mount Vernon High School for many years. She was an avid reader and loved dogs.
Ruth is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Stricklin, brothers, Earl, Dean, and Raymond “Fuzz” Franz.
The family is observing private graveside services in Mound View Cemetery.
The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the services for the Stricklin family.
