Signs on the Square, in partnership with Knox Indivisible (Indivisible Knox co OH) will host a “Knox Families First!” rally on Saturday, July 26, 2025, 1-2 pm, on the national day of “Families First!” rallies.
The focus is on actions we can take to change White House policies and federal and state legislation to restore protections for families.
We also support local actions such as the “Lil’ Pantry”, 11 Sychar Rd., which will re-open Sept. 2, in the face of a growing need for children and their families due to SNAP cuts. The are accepting food and monetary donations now. (lilpantrymountvernon.com).
Signs on the Square has held rallies every Saturday at 1 pm since 2016, rain or shine, with a maximum of 12 participants. This year the “routine” rallies attract 50-plus to 80-plus participants.
The first rally on a nationwide rally day attracted 300-plus. The second one brought 500+.
