Samantha Marie Hedrick, age 36, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. She was born on June 9, 1989, to Joseph and Kellie (Cleaves) Hedrick.
Samantha graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 2007. She worked for Sanoh American Inc. Samantha enjoyed sports, especially softball and volleyball. She had a fondness for outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Her greatest love was being around her family and friends.
Samantha is survived by her father, Joseph (Vicki) Hedrick; mother, Kellie Hedrick; children, Jayden Spence, Nora Baker, Mavis Baker, Aiden Goines; a sister, Megan Hedrick; a brother, Tyler Hedrick; stepsister, Maria Hairston; stepbrothers, Aaron (Holly) Hairston, Desmond McCord.
She is preceded in death by her fiancé, Ben Young IV, who was the love of her life.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of memorial service starting at 1:00 pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, with Pastor Tim Overly officiating.
