Beth Ann (Schwenke) Prince, 79, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Columbus, passed away from Lung Cancer at Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation Center on June 11, 2025. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on July 12, 2025, at Gay Street United Methodist Church, 18 North Gay Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 at 11:00am with a lunch after.
Born in Columbus, OH on December 5, 1945, Beth graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1963, Capital University in 1967. Beth performed in many concerts and plays in High School and College. Worked at Channel 6 in Columbus children’s religious show “Wonderbox” followed by working at WOSU – TV News, worked next at Communications Department at the Ohio Youth Commission, American Society of Nondestractive Testing, State Teachers Retirement System doing publishing. Beth started her own business: Kramer Communications doing publishing, event planning and communication skill training.
Beth was very active in her church. Sang in the choir, children’s moment, helped teaching adult Sunday School and started Midwest Mission drop of location for Ohio. She loved flower gardening and antiquing.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents Richard L. and Mary Edith (Jones) Schwenke, husbands J. Daniel Kramer and Gary A. Schumacher. She is survived by her husband Michael L. Prince; brother Todd (Sharon) Schwenke of Waynesville, OH and many nieces and nephews.
