Patricia Kay Walpole Saltzman, 78, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday afternoon, June 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Marion to the late Carl Foster and Virginia (Rhodeback) Foster Brake.
Patricia was Nurse’s Aide and Bar Tender. She was a member of the Covenant Church in Mount Vernon, where she was part of the card ministry. Patricia enjoyed playing cards and was an avid OSU and Browns fan. She loved spending time with her family and had a great love for animals. Patricia leaves behind her devoted family, a whole host of friends and the Amish community to cherish the great memories they shared.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Debra (Ted) Van Houten of Coshocton and Pamela (Eric) Vanderpool of Mount Vernon; a stepson, T-Bob Saltzman of Texas; grandchildren, Bradly, Sam, Nat, Heather, Shawnda, Jess and Ashley; great grandchildren Matti, Kiley, Kaylynn, Kace, Ash, Jorge, Bailey, Everlin, Lillian, Jezic, and Jaustyn; a brother, Gary (Barb) Foster of Mount Vernon; a niece, Tracy Foster of Florida; and her beloved canine companion, Bella
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Walpole and Dale Saltzman; daughter and son-in-law, Lorisa (George) Walpole Gardner; a great great grandchild, Angel; and a stepdaughter, Cheri.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Covenant Church, 13360 New Delaware Rd., Mount Vernon. A meal will follow the service at the church.
