Lauretta Beltz-Frazee (1957–2025) of Howard, Ohio, and her faithful companion dog, Nate, were taken from us far too soon. On June 5, Lauretta left this world to be with her Lord, wrapped in love and peace.
A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Lauretta spent her life in service to others as a devoted social worker. With a heart full of compassion, she gave of herself freely, touching lives in ways that will never be forgotten.
Lauretta never met a stranger. Her home was a sanctuary—its door always open to family, friends, and the laughter of neighborhood children. Within those walls lived joy, warmth, and unconditional love.
She found solace in her garden each spring, hands in the soil, coaxing life from the earth. She was a gifted cook and baker, nourishing loved ones not just with meals, but with care and tradition.
Her life was rich with memories—sun-soaked beach vacations, meaningful travels, and countless beautiful moments shared with those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff; her parents, William and Patty Beltz; her grandparents, Herb (her favorite) and Florence Beltz, and Harold and Lucy Stricker; as well as many treasured family members who surely welcomed her home.
Lauretta’s legacy lives on in her loving son, Nicholas (Becky); her sisters, Lucy, Rita, and Billie Jo; her brothers, William Stacey (Candy) and Del Lee; her adored grandchildren, Connor Frazee, Brandon, and Alaina Furner; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends too numerous to count.
Fly high, sweet Lauretta. May the wind always be at your back, and may love follow you wherever you go.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date for all who knew and loved her.
