MOUNT VERNON — A Centerburg man was indicted on aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of Zachary White, 32, by a Knox County grand jury on Monday.
Ryan T. Carlisle, 35, of Centerburg, was indicted on aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to a previous Knox Pages report, White was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Carlisle. Carlisle suffered minor injuries and was also transported to Knox Community Hospital.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident took place at approximately 12:51 a.m. on State Route 229 near milepost 7 in Clinton Township of Knox County.
The Patrol reported that Carlisle was operating a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 westbound on State Route 229. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the road and struck several utility poles. White was the front-seat passenger.
Also in Monday’s indictments, Daniel L. Kehn, 44, of Fredericktown, strangulation, a third-degree felony.
Ralph L. Franklin Jr., 60, of Newark, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Paul A. Steele, 38, of Mount Vernon, domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
Adam J. Burkam, 43, of Mount Vernon, strangulation, a second-degree felony; domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Jonathan A. Carpenter, 32, of Fredericktown, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
Jason A. Wood, 41, of Mount Vernon, strangulation, a second-degree felony; felonious assault, a second-degree felony.Â
Daniel L. Kehn, 44, of Fredericktown, strangulation, a third-degree felony.
