MOUNT VERNON — Chase Crawford delivered a two-run, walk-off base hit in the bottom of the seventh inning as top-seeded Worthington Christian edged No. 4 East Knox 11-10 in a Division V district championship baseball game Thursday at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

The Bulldogs scored three runs in the top of the first, but trailed 9-4 after three.

East Knox scored five runs on two hits and two costly Worthington Christian errors to tie the game at 9-9 in the fourth. Caden Ridenour and Zayne Grennell each had run-scoring singles.

The Bulldogs took a 10-9 lead in the top of the sixth on Grennell’s RBI-double. Grennell was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Caleb Armstrong had two hits and knocked in a pair.

Beckett O’Neil led Worthington Christian with three hits. Nolan Schoonover and Hunter Doran each had two hits, while Doran, Crawford and Jameson Colley each knocked in a pair. Colley tripled.
