MOUNT VERNON– National Nurses Month, celebrated in May, is a time to recognize and honor the contributions of nurses.
National Nurses Week is a week-long celebration from May 6 to 12. May is dedicated to acknowledging nurses’ vital role in healthcare.
They know firsthand what their patients need to be safe and comfortable. They also know how to improve their quality of care while showing compassion and professionalism.
Knox Community Hospital’s nursing mission is to provide the community with excellent, safe, individualized patient care delivered by highly skilled nursing professionals. KCH’s nurses strive toward this goal.
“It is truly incredible to witness the intricate workings of the nursing staff. Each May, we get the chance to celebrate and recognize those working so hard to take care of our loved ones through raffle basket contests, fun nursing games, and an online store with nursing-themed items,” Hadleigh Douglas, Nursing Shared Leadership chair, said.
“The Shared Leadership team is made up of nurses from various departments, including front-line staff, and we do our best to show our gratitude to all of the nursing staff in ways that they will appreciate.”
Knox Community Hospital wants to thank all its nurses for making a difference and taking pride in their work. Their kindness and empathy make a profound difference in the lives of patients and families. Join KCH in thanking all nurses for their unwavering dedication and service to patient well-being.
