MOUNT VERNON– Job seekers and career explorers are invited to attend the Career and Apprenticeship Fair hosted by Opportunity Knox Employment Center/OhioMeansJobs Knox County on Tuesday, May 6.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 17604 Coshocton Road.
With 37 registered employers, apprenticeship programs, and job training providers, this free event is the perfect opportunity to explore career opportunities. Job seekers can connect with local employers and learn more about available job openings in various industries.
Industries represented include:
- Health care & social services
- Manufacturing
- Skilled trades
- Education
- Retail/customer service
- Local government
- Public safety
- Natural resources
- Foodservice
- Staffing agencies
Union apprenticeship programs will be on-site recruiting for pathways into the Carpenters Union, Electrical Union, and Plumbers & Steamfitters Union. A U.S. Navy recruiter will also be available for those interested in military service.
“We encourage job seekers to bring several copies of their resume,” said Brandy Booth, workforce development administrator. “If anyone needs resume copies or assistance before the event, our front office team is here to help.”
