Diana J. Doup, age 75, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 1, 2025, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born on May 29, 1949, in Mount Vernon, to the late Donald and Betty (Riley) Schaaf.
Diana graduated from Centerburg High School in 1967. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and helping anyone in need. Diana was a caregiver and devoted her life to giving her family the best care possible. She was a coach’s wife and spent many summer days and evenings at the baseball field.
Diana is survived by her husband, Mike Doup; children, Todd, Troy, Travis, Trevor Doup and Tracy Jones; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Schaaf; numerous nieces and nephews; and canine companion, Fritz.
Along with her parents, Diana is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Schaaf.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11 am until the time of celebration of life starting at 1 pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050.
