Roy D. Waldron, age 79, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon. He was born on May 3, 1945, the son of Charles Waldron and Eileen Jenkins in McArthur, Ohio. Roy was a 1963 graduate of Hamden High School and after graduation, he entered in the United States Navy, where he proudly served from 1964 to 1967.
From the time he was a young man, Roy was always familiar with the timber industry as he worked for a small Mill in New Lexington, Ohio. In 1983 Roy moved to Mount Vernon and took a job as a lumber inspector for Brenneman Lumber.
Roy was a member of Mount Zion Lodge #9 F&AM. He and his wife, Glenda, who tragically passed away in 2017 also worked as Bubbles and Banjo the Clowns, where they spent many nights and weekends traveling Ohio, bringing smiles and giggles to children and adults alike.
He is survived by his twin sons, Ryan Waldron and Rodney (Cindy) Waldron, both of Mount Vernon, three grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Shelby, and a half sister, Dana Eberts.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda (Nickell) Waldron and two sisters, Bonnie Sark, and Rose Clendenning.
Friends may call on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where a Masonic service and military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow at 6 pm.
