Beverly Ann Byerly (Sowers) age 90 of Mount Vernon passed away on March 28, 2025, at The Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born June 27, 1934, in Brookville, PA to the late Charles and Burdelle Sowers.
Beverly loved visits from her family. She enjoyed many activities throughout her life. She was an avid golfer with her husband and played in some women’s leagues around Mount Vernon. She had 3 hole in ones. She played Mahjong and cards with some women’s groups. She also liked putting puzzles together, crocheting, quilting, taking care of plants, baking cookies, watching Ohio State football on TV, and dining out.
Survived by her children Neal (Patti) Byerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Allen (Gentiana) Byerly of Texas, Larry (Susan) Byerly of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, brother Wendall Sowers, brother-in-law Paul (Marlene)
Byerly and sister-in-law Jean Anthony.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Burdelle Sowers, husband Kenneth Byerly (2013), brothers Harold and Robert Sowers and brother-in-law Dean Anthony.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home-Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd.in Mount Vernon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Private burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
