MOUNT VERNON — If you’re passionate about gardening, you might be a good fit as the Knox County Local Food Council (KCLFC) Teen Garden program coordinator.
The coordinator will mentor teens and inspire the next generation while teaching hands-on skills in growing food, sustainability, and essential life skills like teamwork, responsibility, and leadership.
The position is part-time through the summer.

KCLFC includes local agencies and residents working together to promote healthy eating, improve access to fresh, affordable food, and support a thriving local food system.
The KCLFC is committed to implementing evidence-based programs that address food insecurity and the high incidence of chronic disease in Knox County.
The Teen Garden Program committee consists of representatives from Knox Public Health, OSU Extension, Interchurch Social Services, Farm to School, Kenyon College, and the director of the Arch Park Garden.
