SUNBURY — Ashlynn Brokaw ran it back Sunday.
Mount Vernon’s 105-pound sophomore wrestler beat Dublin Coffman’s Justine Perez 8-2 to repeat as a girls district wrestling champion at Big Walnut High School.
Brokaw was one of three Yellow Jackets in action Sunday.
Freshman Alivia Zimmerman senior Zara Schoonover also advanced to the district, but didn’t move on to this week’s state tournament.
Brokaw will begin her quest for a second state podium finish Friday at Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center. She finished third at last year’s state meet.
She is the highest returning placer in the 105-pound weight class.
