Janet Marie Hoar, age 62, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
She was born on March 24, 1962, in Mount Vernon and was the daughter of the late James and Geraldine (Frost) Hoar.
Janet is survived by her children, John Hoar, Jessie Hoar, Josie Hoar; twelve grandchildren, Makyia, Donald, Macy, Haliegh, Trenton, Brodee, JC, Caitlynn, Starr, Braxton, Dakota and Jonah; one great-grandchild, Blair; stepdaughter, Jennifer Carmany; sister, Carolyn Sapp, two brothers, Bob (Patty) Hoar and Jim (Louise) Hoar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Hoar in 2005, and a brother, Carl Hoar.
The family is observing private services. The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the arrangements for the family.
