MOUNT VERNON – The Mount Vernon Arts Partners are proud to invite the community to a special celebration of arts and culture at the 2025 Season Preview Event.

The event is slated for Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Knox Memorial Theater, 112 E. High St. The evening will highlight upcoming productions, events, and initiatives planned by some of Mount Vernon’s most beloved arts organizations.

Attendees can look forward to a dynamic lineup of activities, including live performances, exclusive previews, ticket giveaways, major show announcements, and ticket presales.

Doors, bar, and concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. with the program starting at 6 p.m. No tickets are required, making this event an exceptional opportunity for the community to connect with Mount Vernon’s thriving arts scene and get a first look at the slate of events planned for 2025.

Arts Partners

The Mount Vernon Arts Partners are a collaboration of local arts organizations dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Mount Vernon. Through events and joint initiatives, they aim to promote the arts and provide the community with diverse and engaging cultural experiences.

The Arts Partners include Ariel-Foundation Park, Community Concert Association of Knox County, Experience Mount Vernon, Knox Memorial, MTVarts, Mount Vernon Arts Consortium, Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival, and The Woodward Opera House.

“The 2025 Season Preview Event is a testament to Mount Vernon’s commitment to the arts and its vibrant creative community,” said Mount Vernon Arts Consortium Director Martin Booker. “This gathering allows us to celebrate the incredible talent in our region and provide a platform to share what’s ahead in the arts for the coming year. It’s truly an evening for everyone – families, artists, and community members alike.”

The evening will include performances from Aaron Moreland, Courtney DeCosky, Jeff Williams, Savanna Shai, Brad Oviatt, Steve Herbst, Kiarah Smith, Daniel Mark Epstein, and Serra Austin. Entertainment also features dancers from Central Ohio Youth Ballet and special guest Mount Vernon Mayor Matt Starr.

In addition to the program, attendees will have the chance to purchase tickets for upcoming shows, learn about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, and engage with representatives from participating organizations.

With something for everyone, this event serves as both a celebration of Mount Vernon’s cultural scene and a call to action for community members to get involved.
