MOUNT VERNON — The Yellow Jackets will open the postseason inside the friendly confines of The Hive.

Mount Vernon (15-4) earned the No. 5 seed in the Division II central district tournament and will host No. 8 Columbus Briggs in a district semifinal game at 1 p.m. Feb. 15.

A win would send the Jackets into the district championship game at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Ohio Expo Center’s Taft Coliseum in Columbus.

Division V

Fredericktown earned the No. 5 seed in the Division V central district tournament and opted to play a sectional semifinal game. The Freddies will host No. 15 Columbus Academy at 7 p.m. Feb. 11. 

Division VI

Centerburg garnered the No. 2 seed in the Division VI central district field and will host No. 9 Mount Gilead in a sectional final at 7 p.m. Feb. 13. A win would send the Freddies into the district semifinals against No. 8 East Knox.

Division VII

Danville is seeded 14th in the Division VII central district tournament and will open the postseason on the road. The Blue Devils will visit top-seeded Lancaster Fisher Catholic for a sectional final at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.
