MOUNT VERNON — United Way of Knox County is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kristina Hagemann as the organization’s new Program Coordinator, effective Jan.13, 2025.
She brings 27 years of experience in the restaurant industry, where she learned the power
of fostering connections and creating welcoming spaces that bring people together–values she is excited to apply as she transitions to the nonprofit sector.
Hagemann’s background in building relationships and engaging with diverse communities will be invaluable as she works to progress United Way’s programs and initiatives.

Her experience with the local business community adds depth to our collective understanding, and her passion for guiding women in impactful work is a boon to our Women United program. Our team is poised and ready to continue the important and intentional work of the United Way to enrich the lives of all Knox County residents,” Executive Director Katie Ellis said.
Outside of work, Hagemann is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys camping, hiking,
kayaking, and biking with her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Skylar. The family resides
in Centerburg, where they embrace the beauty of Ohio’s natural landscapes.
United Way of Knox County looks forward to the positive impact Hagemann will bring to the organization and the local community.

success. It strategically connects partners and resources to community needs to
measurably impact the quality of life of Knox County residents.
