MVNU hosts annual game and meal to honor Knox County first responders

MOUNT VERNON — Knox County first responders had dinner and a game “on the house” at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Wednesday.

In partnership with the Woodward Opera House, Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) Athletics hosted the sixth-annual first responder dinner, bringing first responders across the county together.

Guests also had a free ticket to the MVNU men’s basketball game that night.

MVNU Coordinator of Development Paul McNeal said the event “shows our thanks for their sacrifices to make this a safer community.”
