MOUNT VERNON — Real Estate property tax bills were mailed out on Jan. 21. The Knox County real estate taxes are due on Friday, Feb. 21.
Payments may be made in the Knox County Treasurer’s Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Payment can also be made online through the treasurer’s site at www.co.knox.oh.us . There is a fee charged by the third-party processor.
Mailed payments must be postmarked no later than Feb. 21to avoid a penalty.
Property owners are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Contact the treasurer’s office at (740) 393-6735 if you do not receive your statement.
