MOUNT VERNON — The Ruckman Group Auctions & Appraisals has announced the election of John P. Ruckman as Treasurer of the Ohio Auctioneers Association (OAA).

This new role places Ruckman at the heart of fiscal oversight for an organization that plays a crucial part in promoting and advancing the auction industry across Ohio.

“John brings to the position a wealth of experience in auctioneering and business management,” the Ruckman Group stated in a press release.

“As the lead auctioneer and owner of The Ruckman Group, based in Knox County, John has successfully managed numerous high-profile auctions and is known for his expertise and
integrity in the industry.”

The Ohio Auctioneers Association is dedicated to enhancing the skills of its members, promoting the auction method of marketing, and advocating for legislative and regulatory matters that benefit both auctioneers and consumers.

“As Treasurer, John will contribute to these goals by ensuring sound financial practices and helping to guide the association’s strategic initiatives,” the company stated.
