DANVILLE — Fredericktown continues to stalk the leader in the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference girls basketball race.
On Saturday, the Freddies pulled away from Danville with a decisive fourth quarter to earn a 56-38 victory.
That win gives Fredericktown a 13-3 overall record, 9-2 in the KMAC, and a game behind league leader Centerburg.
The Freddies took an 11-5 first-quarter lead, and opened a 26-18 halftime margin. But the Blue Devils closed to within 37-30 heading to the final period. Fredericktown dominated in the fourth stanza with a 19-8 scoring margin.
Danville dips to 0-15 overall, 0-11 in the conference. The Blue Devils are at Northmor on Wednesday.
Fredericktown hosts Mount Gilead on Wednesday.
