Velma C. Furby, age 89, of Fredericktown, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savoir on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on April 18, 1935, in Sutton, West Virginia, the daughter of Paul and Deloris (Ocheltree) McCoy.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Bill) Gambrell of Cincinnati, Sandra (Rob) Berry of Concord, North Carolina, Paula (Jeff) Coffing of Fredericktown and Mitch (Beth) Furby of Howard, eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Jan Ocheltree.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Furby (2015) and a sister, Carolyn June Veltre.
The family will observe private services at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown is honored to serve the family of Velma C. Furby.
The family would also like to thank the Laurels and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they showed Velma.
