I don’t remember voting for Elon Musk.
Now he’s dictating a rejection of a bipartisan agreement to vote for a continuing resolution on the budget, telling legislators if they don’t follow his orders, they will be primarried.
He is using his billions to change the course of our country through bullying and greed. What is his goal? To make America a happier, more prosperous country for all Americans?
No. It’s to get even richer while stripping hard-working Americans of services they need and have worked for: child tax credits, safe working conditions, clean water, safe schools, good health care, equal treatment before the law, a living wage, and truth from those who represent them. Or should.
Enough pretending this is acceptable. It makes a mockery of those who voted for Trump and those who didn’t. He is drunk on billionaires. Wretched values. Not a leader of a nation.
Congress must stand up to those who don’t have a clue what it’s like for workers.
