MOUNT VERNON — On Monday, the No. 14 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team learned its destination and opponent for the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament.
Following an outstanding 29-4 season, including a 15-3 record in Crossroads League play, MVNU has earned the honor of hosting the national tournament opening round at Ariel Arena.
The 48-team event will begin with 24 NAIA Championship Opening Round matches at campus locations on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Lady Cougars’ first serve is set for 5 p.m.
As for the opponent, MVNU will host the (RV) Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson is the Mid-South Conference tournament champion (27-8, 12-0).
MVNU’s qualification marks its fifth appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, following previous berths in 2007, 2015, 2016, and 2023.

Ticket prices for the match on Saturday are $15 for general admission and $10 for students.
