Joyce P. Cline, age 71, of Danville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on June 2, 1953, in Newark, Ohio. Joyce was a 1971 graduate of Utica High School.
Joyce attended the Northside Church of Christ and worked several years for Knox County Head Start. If you look up homemaker in the dictionary, you will find a picture of Joyce. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, sewing and making clothes for her family and friends and being a loving and caring wife and mom to her husband and children. Joyce also liked to read and always enjoyed a thrilling Stephen King novel.
She is survived by her loving husband Timothy Cline, whom she married on August 21, 1971, her children, Melissa R. (Douglas) Haines of Newark, Sherry Maharg of Mount Vernon and Robert Cline of Danville, seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Fred) Trainor, Hayleigh Gordon, Douglas Haines Jr., Wyatt Haines, Aaron (Shania Clingman) Queen, Joseph McElroy, Olivia (Alex Holt) Cline, two great-grandsons, Owen and Gatlin, her mother, Charlotte Learn, a brother, Timothy (Nancy) Deaver of Newark, two sisters, Katrina (Donnie) Tignor of Zanesville and Dorinda Deaver of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her stepfathers, Donald Deaver and Ron Learn, two grandsons, Tyler Stalling and Ricky Gordon.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Ray Blakely will be officiating. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery in Danville.
