MOUNT VERNON — In partnership with Gambier Mayor Leeman Kessler, the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County organized its second “Well Played!” program.

Families and kids of all ages are invited to play tabletop games in a fun, casual environment. There are two more Tuesdays to enjoy this inclusive, participatory program: Nov. 12 and Dec. 3.

Both programs are in the main library’s Multipurpose Room from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll bring the games – you come ready to have fun!

Parent, actor, and mayor Kessler has loved board games since he was old enough to “liberate” them from his brother’s shelves. He is sharing his large tabletop game collection with the Mount Vernon Public Library for the first time.

Classics like Clue and Settlers of Catan and new favorites such as Ark Nova and Twilight Imperium. Library intern Jordan Schaevitz, who helps run the program, described it as “the highlight of my week!”

Schaevitz loves working with Leeman, who “makes every game so easy and digestible.” This low-pressure atmosphere is open to people of all ages and experience levels.

All library programs are free and open to the public. Well Played is an all-ages event, but children under 18 must come with a parent or guardian. Make it fun for the whole family – all are welcome! Join us for a round, or stay for the whole time.

Please, no food or drink. For more information, visit www.knox.net or call (740) 392-BOOK.
