Betty G. Daniels, 105 of Mount Vernon passed away on October 30, 2024 at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon. She was born to Cloyce and Blanche (McKee) Hays in Martinsburg, OH.
Betty was a member of the Amity Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She also served on the different Boards of the Church. Betty lived on the Dairy Farm that she and her husband Darwin owned for 50 years. She enjoyed crafting and baking in her spare time, She worked for Patented Products in Danville for 33 years.
Betty is survived by her children Linda (Dick) McCluskey of Mount Vernon, OH and Larry and Judie Daniels of Greenville, SC; grandchildren Dawn (Tim) Holmes of Bexley, OH, Beth (Jed) Acker of Shreve, OH, Cathy (Tyler) Yoder of Solon, OH, Dana (Stephanie) Daniels of Broadview Heights, OH, Rahn (Cindy) McCluskey of Mount Vernon, OH, Sean (Tracey) McCluskey of Mount Vernon, OH; great-grandchildren Maggie McCluskey of Athens, OH, Kiteley McCluskey of Mount Vernon, OH, Breanna McCluskey of Mount Vernon, OH, Joy & Lucy Acker of Shreve, OH, Asher, Ellery, Callan of Solon, OH, Bodhi and Dillon of Broadview Heights, OH, Elliot and Austin of Bexley, OH; a sister Aileen (Ron) Hiltner of Mount Vernon, OH and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Darwin D. Daniels, a brother Hobart Hays, and a grandson Ryan Kelly.
Betty’s family would like to say a big Thank You to the staff at Country Club Retirement Center for their care of Betty. In addition, they want to thank Capital City Hospice for their care of Betty these past few months.
Calling hours will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at Flowers – Snyder Funeral Home 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, OH. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm at the funeral home with graveside services following at Union Grove Cemetery.
