Estella Jean Bascomb, age 95, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Country Club Retirement Campus. She was born on January 18, 1929, in Martinsburg, Ohio, the daughter of Charlie and Eva (Burkholder) Wilkin. Estella was a member of the Mount Vernon Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her son, Steven (Karen) Bascomb of Pleasantville, Ohio, two grandchildren, Stefanie (Ken) Hicks and Patience Clelland, six great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Wilkin of Utica.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, a great-grandchild, a sister Lettie Ondrizek, and a brother, Eddie Wilkin.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, 535 Wooster Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Pastor Chuck Gadway will be officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Eden Cemetery near St. Louisville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions in Estella’s name may be made to the Mount Vernon SDA Elementary School, 221 Sychar Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
