Patricia R. Eitel, 94, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She was born on March 17, 1930 in Circleville.
Pat was a member of the Saint John the Baptist Parish attending the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. She retired from the Knox County Joint Vocational School where she oversaw the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Pat is survived by her children, Philip (Rita) Eitel of Columbus, Marcus (Carol) Eitel of Carnegie, and Gwendolyn Blubaugh of Mount Vernon; 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren with 2 on the way.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Eitel on May 22, 2006; brothers, Bill and Bus; sisters, Bernice, Oney, Joan, and Velda; a son-in-law, James K. Blubaugh.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon where the Rosary will be recited will follow the visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Mark J. Hammond as the Celebrant. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Circleville with Rev. Father Ramon Owera presiding.
