Mark D. LaClair, age 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 29, 1940, in Uniontown, PA to the late Lewis and Thelma (Savage) LaClair.
Mark was a longtime member and Deacon/Elder of the Bladensburg Church of Christ. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryl (Rine) LaClair, sons. Mark (Sabrina) LaClair Jr and Kyle (Kara) LaClair; daughters, Thelma (Frank) Bucy and Erin (Bo) White; 16 grandchildren, Renee, Mark III, Rose, Christopher, Patricia, Vinny, Blake, Branden, Christina, Cassandra, Desirae, Kathryn, Anna, Sophie, Grace, and John along with 13 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Larry LaClair.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Stafford, brothers, Rick and Gerald LaClair, and a grandson, William Meredith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Bladensburg Church of Christ and one hour prior to funeral services on Thursday. Funeral services will be on Thursday – 11:00 AM at the church with Pastors Ben McKinstry and Bart Rine officiating. Burial will be in Bladensburg Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
