Pamela White, 77, of Mount Vernon, OH passed away at her home on Saturday, September 28, 2024, after an extended illness. She is proceeded in death by her parents W. Charles and Patricia Smith and brother W. Steven Smith.
Born March 8, 1947, in Mount Vernon, OH, she was the daughter of the late W. Charles and Patricia Smith. Pam spent most of her career working alongside her spouse at Don White State Farm Insurance Agency. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi, The Child Conservation League, and the American Association of University Women. In her free time Pam attended Book Club and Bridge Club and played Mahjong with her close friends. For over 40 years she enjoyed weekly lunches with her friends Barb, Jan and Teri.
Pam’s greatest joy was spending time with her husband, sister and brother-in-law, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved watching her grandchildren play football, softball, baseball, basketball and track and rarely missed a game or meet. Pam was a kind, loving, and selfless person and if you had the privilege of knowing her, you loved her.
Pam is survived by her spouse of 56 years, Don White of Mount Vernon, OH; sister Gail (Mike) LaBenne of Mount Vernon, OH; children Michelle Schmidt of Hilliard, OH, Amanda (Brandon) Erwine of Galena, OH, Bradley (Nicole) White of Needham, MA; Grandchildren Tyler, Davis, Turner, and Dayne Schmidt; Mason, Ella and Reid Erwine; Bennett and Cooper White.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 5 – 7 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home- Lasater Chapel; 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 with a celebration of Pam’s life on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 11 AM with Pastor Drew Gillespie officiating.
