Bertman Eugene Woods Jr., 69 of Mount Vernon passed away on September 23, 2024 at The OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born on September 13, 1955 to Bertman and Margaret (Hill) Woods Sr. in Pittsburg, PA.
Bertman was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. His favorite thing was spending time with his kids and his grandchildren.
Bertman is survived by his wife Kandy (McClintic) Woods; his mother Margaret Ann (Hill) Woods; children Bertman (Samantha) Woods III of Coshocton, OH, Tonya (Nathan) Oswalt of Butler, OH, Shawnya (Hank) Woods of Mount Vernon, OH; grandchildren Ayden, Madison, Olivia, Kaylee, Jaxon, Alex and Shawn, Skyla, Arabella; siblings Robert Woods of Mount Vernon, OH, Margie Bernard of Centerburg, OH, David (Deborah) Woods of Gloucester, VA and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Bertman was preceded in death by his father Bertman Eugene Woods Sr.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Flowers – Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral services will be Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11:00am with calling hours one hour prior. Graveside services will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by The Know County Joint Veterans Council.
