John Burch, age 74, passed away on September 2, 2024, at Riverside Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1950 in Mount Vernon to Clarence and Joan (Cross) Burch.
John grew up in Knox County and graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in
Agriculture. He met his wife, Jill, on a blind date set up by one of his fraternity brothers. They were married on June 16, 1972 and built a home and life together near Butler.
John was a farm boy at heart, but spent many years as a truck driver. He enjoyed the independence of being on the road and getting to chat with so many different people on his travels. In recent years, the travels were much shorter, but he always enjoyed talking with others. His Southside breakfast group brought him a lot of joy and was a special group of friends for him.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Ethan) Novinsky of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Aidan and Kiera Novinsky; siblings Michael (Patricia) Burch of Fredericktown and Katrina Smith of Upper Arlington; and many dear friends and family.
John was preceded in death by his wife Jill and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
