MORRIS TWP — Wiener dogs were red hot at the Knox County Fairgrounds on Saturday, racing each other to the finish line.

Eighteen contestants lined the dirt track. Dachshund Stella, owned by Talya Shaffner, won the championship race, beating four other finalists: Oakley, Polly Ann, Ellie and Lovie.
The event signals the beginning of the Knox County Fair.
