Charles “Chuck” Vernon Llewellyn, age 69, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville. He was born on May 5, 1955, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Archie and Betty (Butler) Llewellyn.
Chuck retired in 2020 after 46 years of employment with AMG Industries in Mount Vernon where he served numerous positions; a tool and die maker, production department and President/Secretary of the Union.
Chuck was a laid-back kind of guy with a wicked sense of humor. He could be seen as shy and quiet at the first meeting, but it would not take long to figure out he was anything but that. Chuck loved watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and for some reason, the Cleveland Browns. Most important of all, Chuck was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than the quality time he had with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ruth (Agan) Llewellyn, a son, Timothy (Jennifer) Llewellyn of Howard, a daughter, Sara Furlong of Mount Vernon, a grandson, Peyton Llewellyn, honorary daughter, Rebecca Whiting and her daughter, Samatha Whiting, brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris (Debbie) Agan, Mike (Tracy) Agan, Jay Agan, Sheila Agan and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
In following with Chuck’s wishes, there will be no services. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Charles “Chuck” Vernon Llewellyn.
Memorial contributions in Chuck’s name may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or St. Jude’s.
