James E. Dice, 90, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Knox Community Hospital.
He was born on December 7, 1933, in Mount Vernon and was the son of the late Jesse T. and Ruth M. (Simmons) Dice.
James was a member of the Mt. Zion Lodge #9 F & A.M. where he was a past master, Loyal Order of the Moose Colonial City Lodge 2555, and a past CES Credit Union Board of Directors member.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Lou (Wagstaff) Dice, brother, Thomas E. (Ann) Dice, and a sister, Nancy E. (Dan) Baker, sister-in-law’s, Sandy Wagstaff and Janet Dice, along with many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Dice, and a brother-in-law, Don Wagstaff.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel. A Masonic service and memorial service will follow the calling hour at 12:00 pm.
