MOUNT VERNON — Second half real estate tax statements were mailed and are due on Friday, July 12.
The treasurer’s office, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., accepts payments by cash, check, or money order.
Payments can be made online by electronic check or credit card at the treasurer’s site at www.knox.co.oh.us. A third-party processing fee applies for this service.
Property owners are reminded they are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Anyone who does not receive a statement should contact the Treasurer’s Office at (740) 393-6735 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th, and Thursday, July 4th.
