Patricia Ann “Patty” Naylor, age 84, of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Knox Community Hospital.
She was born on April 25, 1940, in Mount Vernon to the late Olan and Naomi (Hamilton) Moreland. Patty was employed for numerous years at the Mount Vernon YMCA and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, flower gardening, and traveling. But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family and close friends.
Patty is survived by her daughters, Janelle (Kelvin) Starmer, Kelly (Stacy) Franz; her son’s fiancé Sharon Music; her sister Dorothy “Dot” Small; her brother Ellis “Butch” Morland; her nieces Lori (Eli) Bennett, Dawn (Jolene) Tharp; her nephew JR Moreland; grandchildren, stepchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Naylor and her son Gordon Frost.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home from 5-7pm. A service will be held on Friday, at the Faith Lutheran Church, beginning at 11am, with Pastor Cody Blust officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
