Dorothy E. Linter, age 97, of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Otterbein Lebanon. She was born on November 30, 1926, in Fredericktown, Ohio, the daughter of John Leroy and Goldie Dale (Poulton) Daniels.
Robert and Dorothy had the blessing of pastoring several United Methodist Churches in Ohio over the course of 45 to 50 years.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Larry (Suzie) Linter of Reynoldsburg, Janice (David) Stephens of Cincinnati, Lynn Gardner of Richmond, Indiana, and Craig (Nancy) Linter of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, seven grandchildren, Anna Stephens, Andrew (Anpu) Stephens, Kristen (Greg) Adams, Kelly (Ross) Matlock, Emily (Chris) Rice, Joshua (Jamie) Linter, Jacob Linter and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Seiberling.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Robert E. Linter, whom she married on December 14, 1947, a brother, Harold Daniels, and a sister, Eileen Clark.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown where friends may call one hour prior. Rev. David Stephens will be officiating. A burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Lebanon Otterbein Benevolent Fund at Otterbein Lebanon Senior Community, 585 N. State Route 741, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
