Ruth A. Algire, age 84, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born on April 1, 1940, in Bellville, Ohio, to the late Howard and Lucille (Smith) Long.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Algire, Cathy (Randy) Miller, Amy (Mike) Shoewalter, and Tom (Ann) Algire; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert “Bob” T. Algire.
As were her wishes there will be no calling hours. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
