David L. Arnold, age 66, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Country Club Retirement Center.
He was born on June 5, 1957, in Newark, Ohio to the late Joseph Arnold and Alice (Miles) Becker. David was employed at New Hope Industries where he performed custodial duties at the rest area on Interstate 71. In 2008 David moved to New Mexico and participated in the Special Olympics where he competed in golf, basketball, and softball. He moved back to Ohio in 2012. David enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, playing his PlayStation 4, and cheering on his favorite NFL team, the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Hoover, Brenda (Robert) Deal, Linda Chapman, Crickit Binyaman, Virginia Billman; his brothers, Pete Becker, Joe (Patricia) Becker; his canine companion Scooby Doo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his nephews Romeo Deal and Jacob Becker.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date.
