Mary Ann Fronce, 86, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2024 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She was born on May 22, 1937 in Mount Vernon to Chalmer “Chink” and Grace (Clune) Fronce who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her brother, Charles (Karen) Fronce of Tomball, TX; nieces, Christine Dean of Tomball, TX and Tresa (Ismael) Carrillo of Cypress, TX; great nieces and nephews, Breanne and Caden Dean of Kyle, Tx, Christian of San Marcos, TX and Kalynn, Bryson and Mikaela Carrillo of Cypress, TX. In addition, cousins, Dr. Alex (Linda) Johnson of Boston, MA, David Johnson and his children, Winston and Cary of Pittsburgh, PA, Jill (Michael) Hannah of Hilliard and their children, Patrick, Emma, Alex and Andress of Columbus, Terri Johnson of Bexley, and James (Shirley) Drake of Mount Vernon. Last, but by no means least, the William Garris family.
Mary Ann graduated from Saint Vincent de Paul High School in 1955 and retired in 1992 from the U.S. Government having served at the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, the White House, NASA in Houston, TX an the U.S. Department of Commerce. She was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she served as a Lector and a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist until illness prevented her from doing so.
At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Mount Vernon.
