HOWARD — The Bulldogs are the top dogs in the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference.

Bryar Householder made sure of it.

A hard-throwing right-hander, Householder fired a three-hit shutout as East Knox blanked Northmor 3-0 to claim the first Knox Morrow Athletic Conference title in program history.

The Bulldogs (16-4, 10-2) completed the season sweep of the Golden Knights (18-5, 8-4) thanks in no small part to Householder. He struck out nine and did not walk a batter.

Householder struck out a single-game record 18 in the first meeting with Northmor, a 1-0 East Knox win on April 9. He has yet to surrender an earned run this season.

The Bulldogs jumped to a 2-0 lead in the home half of the first. Householder and Josh Keith each stroked run-scoring singles. Householder singled and scored in the third and finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI.

Keith, Caden Wengerd and Caden Ridenour each had a hit for the Bulldogs. Ridenour drove in a run, while Bracen Davis and Caleb Armstrong scored runs.

Drew Hammond worked three innings for the Golden Knights. He surrendered five hits while striking out six and walking four.

Hammond, Grant Bentley and Jack Bowdre each had a hit for Northmor.
